Sr. Director TPM

Sr. Director, Technical Program Management (Remote-Eligible) Are you interested in leading programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale products & platforms? About the Team: Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One's most important enterprise platforms. We establish practices for building technology solutions across the company and deliver capabilities that exemplify those practices. As a TPM in EPTech, you will leverage your technical acumen and engineering experience to drive the strategy and execution of large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional programs aligned with Capital One's business priorities. You'll break down complexity and organizational silos, influence roadmaps, dive deep into system design and architecture, make technical tradeoffs, drive platform consolidation, and identify, resolve, define, and escalate mitigation plans for hard technical dependencies. Our TPM Sr. Directors have: - Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle - Experience building and leading a world-class team of technical program managers with a mission to power real-time, intelligent experiences for our customers and associates - Lead technology focused discussions with senior leadership by providing valuable insights and recommendations that guide technology-based decisions - Exceptional communication and collaboration skills - Excellent problem solving and influencing skills - A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker - Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives - Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results - Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done. - Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners Capital One is open to hiring a Remote Employee for this opportunity.
