Lead Fullstack Engineer

### Role Overview You will help build the next generation of how our customers interface & apply for financing. Within the team, you will champion and drive our front-end strategy as it continues to mature, and share learnings with the broader Tech organization to refine strategy. You’ll develop in the latest technologies as we modernize legacy systems by moving to cloud-based micro-service platform(s), focusing on improving the customer experience. ### Responsibilities - Work with Design and Product to improve and maintain the application experience for customers and merchant partners. - Review high-level requirements, propose implementation options, and define user stories. - Actively engage in agile processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. - Oversee feature delivery: develop implementation plans, coordinate tasks, communicate with stakeholders, and devise testing strategies. - Research and implement emerging technologies to improve system performance and customer experience. - Drive front-end strategy with a focus on maintainability and extendibility. - Act as a technical mentor, guiding engineers on best practices and UI development standards. - Improve application observability, minimize bundle sizes, and utilize AI tooling to streamline development. ### Requirements - Four-year college degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Systems. - 6+ years of experience with modern web technologies (React preferred). - Experience in UX, from accessibility to responsive/adaptive web design. - Knowledge of front-end tooling (state management, component libraries, performance optimizations). - Experience writing end-to-end test suites (Cypress, Playwright, etc.). - Knowledge of building/consuming REST APIs using modern languages (Golang preferred, Java, Node, Python). - Understanding of HTTP/REST architecture and AWS cloud services. - Knowledge of scrum/agile software development. ### Benefits - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. - 20 PTO days + 11 paid holidays. - 401(k) retirement with company matching. - Student Loan & Tuition Reimbursement. - Commuter assistance and parental leave.
