Cloud Engineer

The Role: Due to growth within UK programmes, we will need talented Cloud Engineers throughout the course of 2026. You will be part of a DevOps team transforming, supporting, and maintaining a system of critical national infrastructure to public cloud adhering to engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with team members and the broader programme to transition legacy infrastructure to AWS Cloud. - Implement creative solutions to problems using innovative design, implementation, and testing of systems and services. - Focus on scalability and sustainability in system architecture. - Interact closely with developers and testers to maintain systems. - Support other team members where required. Required Skills: - Demonstrable experience of transitioning legacy platforms to AWS. - Implementation of solutions using AWS with Linux technologies. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible. - Experience working in a DevOps environment. - Applying security to all workloads. - Working with CI/CD infrastructure pipelines. - Automating deployment and configuration pipelines of COTS software. - Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban). - Excellent communication skills. - Candidate must be a UK National. - Must be able to obtain an SC level clearance. Desired Skills: - AWS Qualifications. - Experience working with the Atlassian toolset (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo). - Experience with biometric systems. Clearance Requirements: - Clearance to Start: BPSS. - Clearance for Role: SC. - Must be willing to undergo SC or DV clearance dependent upon the security requirements for the role.
