Job Summary
Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division. The role involves defining financial goals, creating and maintaining budgets, analyzing progress, and preparing financial forecasts. Candidates may work onsite in Huntsville, AL or remotely with relevant defense contracting experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analysis
- Manage program general ledger and monitor cash flow
- Develop EACs and manage subcontractors
- Identify programmatic risks and opportunities
- Handle month-end closings and variance analyses
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
- 8+ years' related program finance experience
- Knowledge of multiple contract types (FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus)
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance
Job Details
Leidos Defense Systems Sector has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division. As a key member of the program team, you will work directly with the program managers to help define each program's financial goals and objectives; create and maintain a program's budget, analyze progress reported against the program baseline; identify risks and opportunities against the program baseline; and recommend actions to improve progress to achieve flawless program execution.
While we prefer candidates who can work onsite in Huntsville - AL, we are open to considering remote candidates with directly relevant defense contracting industry experience and qualifications.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analysis.
- Work closely with other functional areas on financial related elements while managing a program general ledger, and monitoring programs cash flow.
- Develop and drive financial forecasts, EACs; manage subcontractors and analyze the program's revenue and costs.
- Help program managers identify programmatic risks and opportunities that will impact program financials while recommending cost reductions and ways to mitigate risk.
- Responsible for financial performance of the program to include the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly forecast and FP&A activities.
- Month-end closings and variance/trend analyses
- Cash management to Inventory analysis as well as timely submittal of invoices, collections, and unbilled reduction.
Deliverables:
- Estimate at Completion (EACs), Quarterly Financial Status Reviews (QFSR), monthly and quarterly business reviews (IPR), and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Pricing for on-contract growth.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline plus 8 years' related program finance experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrid contracts.
- Analytical, communication, and presentations skills needed.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) milestone contracts and cash/balance sheet forecasting.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Leidos financial systems such as: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as: Project, Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Manufacturing experience and experience with international business arrangements preferred.
- Experience with Capex & Inventory accounting.
