Job Details

### Role Overview You will be at the forefront of shaping the future of AI-powered developer tools. As a Senior Product Designer on the AI Product Design team, you'll help build the next generation of intelligent software development experiences, bringing rigorous design craft to some of the hardest interaction problems in the industry. You'll own the design process end-to-end: from ambiguous early exploration through to polished, shipped experiences. You'll design intuitive interfaces for AI agents, create seamless chat experiences for developers, and establish design patterns that make advanced AI capabilities feel natural and accessible. ### Responsibilities - Own the design process: Drive end-to-end design across the AI suite, from early exploration to execution. - Create flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. - Ship and iterate: Break complex AI experiences into releases, defining success criteria and collaborating with PM, Engineering, and Technical Writing. - Set the craft bar: Establish quality standards for visual and interaction design and provide constructive feedback. - Define strategic direction: Use user evidence, journey maps, and storyboards to influence roadmap discussions. - Enable the broader team: Contribute AI-specific patterns to the Pajamas Design System and mentor other designers. ### Qualifications - Strong portfolio demonstrating iterative design thinking, ideally involving AI/ML products, agentic workflows, or natural language interfaces. - Experience designing for AI workflows, understanding the challenges of multi-step or automated processes. - High bar for visual and interaction design craft. - Experience conducting research and translating findings into design decisions. - Proven ability to work iteratively in agile environments, balancing speed with quality. - Experience designing in complex enterprise contexts, with knowledge of Git, HTML/CSS, accessibility best practices, and design systems. - Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale and simplify complexity.
