Solutions Integration Engineer
Job Summary
As a Solutions Integration Engineer, you will join the Professional Services team to implement complex B2B integrations for strategic customers using the Samsara IoT platform. You will collaborate cross-functionally to map integration needs to API capabilities, build custom solutions, and provide technical guidance for successful deployments. This role requires technical expertise, bilingual proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple customer projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Participate in system integration projects with customer development teams and 3rd-party systems integrators to build enterprise-grade scalable solutions using Samsara APIs.
- Create & define project scopes, technical specifications, and business requirements between Samsara and multiple external stakeholders.
- Build robust and scalable integration architecture to help solve use cases like Real-time Data Streaming, Event subscriptions, and Batch processing.
- Build, test, validate, and review code to ensure completeness and highest quality deliverables.
- Advise and document best practices around integrations using Samsara APIs and products.
- Exchange best practices, share knowledge with the product team and developer community, and advocate for customer experience.
- Collaborate with the Developer EcoSystem team to improve API experience and feature set.
- Contribute to the enhancement of Professional Services team methodologies and tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience developing Integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a must.
- Proficiency in Python and one additional programming language (e.g., JavaScript, AppScript).
- Experience with agentic workflows and multi-agent systems for enterprise use cases.
- Proficient in leveraging LLM-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, and automation.
- Experience in developing solutions leveraging modern Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Comfortable reviewing data integration requirements and translating them into technical designs.
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs/Webhooks and modern databases.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements in parallel.
- Proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Experience working with Modern Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience building Enterprise-scale integrations or API scripting.
- Familiarity with B2B system integration projects and workflows.
- Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results.
- Tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with fleets and logistics is a plus.
